The Krewe of Gambrinus supports and shares mardi Gras tradidions and celebrations while also giving back to our community throughout the year.  The projects and actions of our ALL-VOLUNTEER krewe support and strengthen the social and civic efforts of our CIty and the children and elderly of our community.

The Krewe of Gambrinus raised $4,245 and donated multiple truckloads of toys and atheletic items to the Galveston Police Department's  Blue Santa campaign!

Partnering with Galveston ISD, krewemembers donated mens and ladies formal wear to the Ball High School PROM CLOSET so

Every year Gambrinus members volunteer their time to visit  retirement communities, assisted living centers, memory care centers and nursing homes to meet with the residents and share Mardi Gras beads with them.

Our members love to visit school classrooms to talk to the students about the traditions of Mardi Gras and engage the students in hands-on activities that allow them to experience throwing and catching beads, trying on mardi gras masks, and hats, learn the Second Line Dance, and sample King's Cake.  School visits culminate with a parade down the hallway throwing beads to their classmates.
